    Description

    This original
    1948 CHICAGO TRIBUNE TOYCRAFT "DENNY DIMWIT" BOBBLEHEAD DOLL FIGURE
    is a very accurate depiction of the popular character from the "WINNIE WINKLE" newspaper comic strip.  The box for this toy (which is not included with this doll) proclaims that "HE WIGGLES ~ HE WAGGLES" rather than bobbles ~ he moves at the neck and at the waist.  Denny is approximately 11 1/2" tall
    and is entirely unrestored.
    See photos for a closer look.  As is usually the case, his paper mache' body has some crazing/cracking and paint loss.  In his case, it is relatively mild compared to most existing examples.  The top and bottom are firmly attached and he stands quite nicely.  I will pack him in styrofoam peanuts to protect him in transit.
    As you can see, he'll bring a smile each time you see him!
