1950 Blue Metal Hopalong Cassidy Lunchbox & Thermos Pure Western Americana

Offered is a 1950 Hopalong Cassidy lunch box with thermos.  The thermos may be from 1951 due to the rubber stopper inside.
This box is 71 years old so has some rust from wear and use.  The cloud shaped decal on the front of the box is in good shape for its age.  The collapsible metal handle and hinges still work well.  The snap closure still works fine.
The thermos is in fair shape for its age.  The red top screws off and on just fine.  The top does have a crack in the top and going down the side but it is not a deep crack as in hanging open.  It looks like someone glued it at one time.  I didn't try to remove the rubber stopper.  The stopper has a small hairline type of crack.  It states "Sweet Seal Stopper" Aladdin.  I'm sure it must have had Sarsaparilla in it!  The bottom of the thermos states Made by Aladdin Industries Incorporated , Nashville, Tenn. U.S.A.
The Hopalong Cassidy lunch box was the first licensed lunch box of a TV character in the USA.  Hopalong Cassidy became the first network Western television series.
As stated, this lunch box has some rust and a dent on the right side but all in all, is in good vintage condition.
