1958 OUTER SPACE Astronauts Rockets Lunar Base Lunchbox and Matching Thermos

Recent find is this: Vintage 1958  Outer Space themed Lunchbox and Thermos as shown in our photos. The lithographs surrounding this unique lunchbox are truly " Out Of This World " indeed. Over the years the student took good care of their lunchbox which has normal scuffs but the liner of the thermos got broken and vintage replacements are easily found on E-bay if the new owner wants it to be totally complete to use. As was the custom back then mother's would put a small slip of masking tape under the handle with the students name so as identify the owner's lunchbox. This example has part of that tape under the handle and could be removed if wanted. The scenes of space rockets, lunar landings and planets are awe inspiring and must have peaked the imagination of youngsters back in the 50's.  A really nice lunchbox to display in someone's collection.
