    Description

    Up for auction are two antique stoneware master ink bottles recently found at auction in Lancaster County PA area.  They are found in good antique condition.  Larger bottle has a minor nick near the top, smaller bottle has similar nick around shoulder but all in all good antique condition.  Larger bottle more of a master ink.  No spout however as most master inkwells had.  Large has remnants of collection or inventory number on base, 1 3/4" base 4 1/4" tall, would have been stoppered with a 5/8" cork.  Smaller has same inventory number, base 1 3/4" ~1 7/8" tall. Similar brownish yellow glaze, but might not have been made same place, shoulders a little different and tops a little different.  Nice pair.
