Description

This listing is for an Antique High Dome Black Metal Work Thermos Lunch Box.
This is what is stamped into the bottom of this lunch box: A Product of The American Thermos Bottle Co., Norwick, Conn., U.S.A.
This lunch box has scratches, stains, wear, loss of paint, nicks and dents from use. There are a number of spots of rust corrosion on the inside, but mainly on the outside of this lunch box. There is a painted or scratched out spot (I am not sure which) on the top outside of this lunch box; most likely this is where a name used to be.
This lunch box opens and closes nicely, but the top needs a little help lining itself up properly with the bottom as it is finished being closed. The two latches open and close nicely and firmly; both latches can catch quite hard as they are being opened and shut, depending on how well the top and bottom of this lunch box are lined up. The metal handle on top can be pulled up or pushed back down to lay flat against the top of the lunch box. This lunch box is in good used antique condition.
This lunch box has a metal wire that can hold a thermos in the top, which you can see in picture #2. This is a half pint or one cup thermos brand thermos; both lids screw on nicely. This thermos has a glass insert inside and can hold liquids (I tested it). This thermos has scratches and stains from use; the outside bottom piece is coming down on one side, but is still attached. This thermos is in good used antique condition.
This lunch box is approximately 10 5/16 inches long by 7 1/4 inches tall by 4 3/4 inches deep (this does not include the handle).
This thermos is approximately 6 5/8 inches tall; it is approximately 3 1/2 inches in bottom diameter and 2 15/16 inches in top diameter.
This lunch box is being sold as is. Please let me know if you have any questions. This item will be shipped to you within 3 days of receiving confirmed payment. Thank-you for looking!
