Description
Very old AND very cool North Carolina Penland Pottery handless pitcher/watering can with glazed finish. This very unusual piece is brown and blue glazed with a rough pottery bottom. The bulbous body extends to a a long narrow spout/mouth.It bears a triangular stamp on the bottom with the letter "B" in the center. Much research was done to identify the stamp, however, another piece with this stamp could not be located.

6.25 " at tallest
8.25 " at widest including spout
3" at deepest
Age and exact potter of this piece is unknown, however, a label attached to the bottom identifying it as a pitcher from Penland North Carolina. And based on the style, condition, and character of the piece it appears to be late 19th century to early 20th century. This piece was part of a Atlanta GA estate pottery collection.
This is an antique piece with age appropriate wear. Remarkably there are no cracks or chips considereing the estimated age. Please see and examine ALL photos and reach out if you have any questions.
