!  These ten inks wells are all embossed, and one of them also has a paper label wrapping around 3 sides, it is a bottle of 'CHEMICAL INK ERASER'.  None of the other bottles had labels, they are all 1 ounce bottles that were used to hold the differently colored paints once they were mixed.  The
box is about 9" long, 3.5" tall and about 5" wide

Condition
:  Ink wells have varying degrees of content haze, otherwise perfect; NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.   Please see the close up pictures of a few of the bottles to get an idea of their overall condition.

A beautiful and original kit of artist’s paints. Kit includes 12 individual items, not one item is missing, and the whole set is in a beautiful hinged antique box that still latches like the day it was made. Inside the box are 12 compartments. Ten compartments contain embossed glass figural cabin shaped ink wells, one which is fully labeled, and the only one that came with a label, “Chemical Eraser For Tapestry Inks”. Then in the two other compartments are small cardboard boxes; one with individual envelopes of differently colored powdered paints, and another box of mixing sticks, for mixing the powders in the bottles with hot water.  As the label of this box reads,

One set of Tapestry Pain Chemical powders, of 9 colors to fill 9 one ounce bottles, with directions for mixing.

Painting on velveteen, satin, tapestry canvas, art ticking, drilling, sheep skin, wood staining and pyro
graphy work, also for coloring photographs.
Floral designs, landscapes, animals, figures, fruit, etc., can be nicely done with these paints with a very
little practice.
Perforated patterns and studies furnished of the above mentioned designs at a reasonable price.
