J.F EMB RARE 1860s IGLOO TURTLE INK BOTTLE(JOS.FROMHERZ CINCINNATI) HINGE MOLD

Description

This is a very scarce J.F embossed early hinge mold Josef Fromherz Cinci igloo or turtle ink bottle that we dug from an 1860s outhouse privy pit....It has the initials
J.F
boldly emb on side, which stands for Josef Fromherz of Cincinnati, Ohio.....Hand blown in mold....early half circle "key" mold bottom.....crude rough sheared lip....aqua....round...domed igloo turtle ink....1 1/2"tall...Good condition with only a hard to see 3/4"natural stress surface hairline at contour of base of neck; no other damage. Sheared lip has natural roughness.  A nice clean bottle with only some faint haze. I've only dug a couple of these J.F bottles in over 45 years of privy digging in the Midwest .....
