    Description

    An early pontiled ink bottle that was dug from an 1840s outhouse privy pit...no embossing.
    Hand blown in mold....open pontil scar on bottom....thin flared lip....aqua...square...2 1/2"tall....Good condition with only one tiny chip on outer edge of lip; no other damage. A bit of normal light haze. This was a popular style of ink bottle during the 1840s all the way up through the Civil War period.
