    Description

Diesel locomotive from Heljan / ESU
    Item number: 30341
    Lane 1
    Pullmann - NoHAB
The model, which weighs around 5.6 kilograms, has a sturdy plastic-metal composite construction; it is driven by a powerful mid-engine on a total of four axles. The LokSound XL V4.0 decoder, which has proven itself ten thousand times over, comes from ESU and, together with the large 50 mm round loudspeaker, turns the operation of the locomotive into an acoustic and visual experience. The standard smoke generator also contributes to the latter, as it emits exhaust gas clouds synchronously with the LokSound depending on the engine speed. For the first time in track I, there is also a curve sensor on board, which triggers a squeak depending on the speed level when the locomotive drives through curves. As is typical for ESU, the equipment also includes a prototypical lighting system including driver's cab lighting. When braking hard, sparks often fly on the contact surfaces of the brake pad and wheel, which we reproduce in the model using LEDs placed near the wheel
