    Description

    Teal House Ink Bottle with Partial Label: Latvian.
    This hand-blown, tooled lip teal house ink measures 1 1/2” wide by 2” high. Label on 3 sides and reasonably legible on 2 of 3 sides, reading “BURTNIEKS” (a lake in Latvia) and “Riga” (a city in Latvia). Other presumably Latvian words are in a typeface and size too difficult to determine. In the U.S., this would be a pre-1900 bottle. I simply don’t know about Latvian(?) bottle production. I purchased it decades ago for its shape and color. No scratches, cracks or chips, and slightly crooked neck. Some waste remnants of red ink inside. (See photos) No reserve and low initial bid.
