Vintage IH 1825-1975 International Harvester Paperweight / Medallion Canton, IL

Description

For sale is a 2 1/2" diameter collectible IH medallion or sometimes referred to as the IH paper weight.
The pattern for this was made in Canton, IL at the now closed International Harvester Plant.
The paperweight was produced at the IH factory for the Canton sesquicentennial.
The plant was shuttered in 1983 not too long after the medallion was made. On one side is the IH maker’s mark with "Canton Plant" cast into the metal. On the opposite side is 1825 to 1975 Canton Sesquicentennial June 22, 1975 with the image of a plow. These are often referred to as one of the designs of the IHC plow paperweights.
The 2-1/2"ø x 3/8” medallion is in excellent condition.
The castings were made at the IH factory and then sent to an outside supplier for surface coating.
That coating was often subject to flaking, marks, and eventually aging over time.
No defect found on this medallion, but look at the pictures and judge for yourself.
